A study by Econsultancy revealed that LinkedIn drives more than 64% of social traffic to B2B sites. This means that 64% percent of the times that people click links to B2B websites from social media platforms are done on LinkedIn. This is partly due to the fact that 4 out of 5 people on LinkedIn drive business decisions- these are the senior level employees or influencers (CEOs for example).
B2B companies are companies who mostly sell their services or products to other companies or businesses. And since LinkedIn is populated with decision makers of these targeted companies (the other companies), that is why 64% of social traffic to B2B sites is from LinkedIn.
What does this mean for B2B companies? They have to establish their business on LinkedIn and create stable online presence for it on that platform. This way they will be optimising themselves for their targeted clients. How do they achieve this? By:
Creating strong LinkedIn profiles for their employees or members.
Creating a company page on LinkedIn.
Posting regularly so that they get noticed.
Participating in LinkedIn groups and events.
Growing network by looking for connections and inviting your connections to their page.
Showcasing their products or services on their page>products, feeds and groups.
By doing this, they will see an increased number of their website visits from LinkedIn. Our company, Holycity freelancers, is a B2B company and I can confirm this as most of our website's visits are from LinkedIn. If you have a B2B company, this tip is for you. If you need help with LinkedIn management or any other ICT or online services, remember Holycity freelancers is always here for you!
